In the Kindergarten program, children strengthen their language, literacy, numeracy, science and technology skills through rich play‑based experiences. Words and numbers appear everywhere in their day—read, written, sung, explored and used in meaningful ways during investigations, group times, play, routines and excursions. Through these shared experiences, children also build important social skills and emotional development, learning to express their feelings, understand others and form positive relationships.
Working in small groups, children negotiate rules, explore ideas, test theories, experiment and communicate their learning. Our older Kindy children also mentor younger peers, helping toddlers and babies build self‑help skills while developing their own empathy, awareness and responsibility. These interactions further support emotional growth as children learn patience, kindness and confidence in social settings.
Through these experiences, children grow confident in who they are, proudly sharing their achievements and contributions with others, strengthening both their emotional resilience and their ability to connect with the people around them.
